A rich history in tradition combined with 80 years of experience sets Camp Wamatochick apart from other resident camps. We maintain a close-knit camper community to ensure that all participants develop to their fullest potential.

Team Challenge Course

Do you have what it takes?  Campers work with fellow campers to conquer one challenge after another. 

One of the highlights of the camp week!

Archery at the Range

A camp favorite for all ages!  Practice your stance, aim, and go for a Bulls-eye at the Archery Range. 

This is the activity that campers ask for again and again!

  • Become Familiar with Archery Equipment
  • Develop Proper Shooting Form
  • Learn How to Sight and Aim

Kayaking on Goldwater Lake

Glide and maneuver your way across beautiful Goldwater Lake in one of our sea kayaks.  Whether you want to paddle in your own boat or share a ride with your friend, we have the kayak for you. 

Nothing beats a trip to the lake on a hot summer day!

Horseback Riding in the Forest

Our campers love our horses and they love our wranglers even more!  Build riding skills and confidence as you explore the Prescott National Forest on the best horses in Arizona. 

As the wranglers say, "Yee-hah!"

  • Practice Riding Techniques
  • Develop Confidence with Horse Commands
  • Learn Basics of Caring for Horses

Games at the Sports Field

A great place to hang out with all of your friends.  It features an outdoor ramada with picnic benches along with space for tons of great activities.

Sewing at Sky Blue Sewing Lab

Are you the next great fashion designer?  It all starts here!  This program has been a huge hit with all of our campers and our wonderful sewing instructors can't wait to offer some new surprises this year.

Past projects have included:

  • Quillows - half quilt and half pillow!

Camp Wamatochick Rocks!

Boulders!  Boulders!  And More Boulders!

Campers of all ages are blown away by the giant, granite boulders that populate Camp Wamatochick and the surrounding area.  These landmarks offer endless amounts of exploration and have become a natural playground for our campers. 

Campers love our rocks for:

  • Hanging Out
  • Climbing Up and Down
  • Meeting New Friends
